Park Acoustics.

Park Acoustics is a monthly hit on the calendar and many flocked to the Voortrekker Monument to enjoy the best SA musos in action.

The day was hot, but the talent even hotter with the crowds spread across picnic blankets or huddling under patches of shade. Clark was the third artist to step onto the intimate stage.

Gerald Clark didn't hold back and within minutes the audience was at his feet moving to his original songs. Two songs in, Clark lost a snare and reached for his acoustic guitar. He continued his energetic set with Albert Frost getting the electric ready for the grand finale. Clark was joined by a few friends and left everyone in awe with his duo with Suzy Swanepoel. Suzy, with her sexy, husky voice complemented Gerald's style and distinctive voice.

Albert frost and Dan Patlansky was next in line – both a pleasure to watch on a Sunday afternoon.

Clark was my personal highlight. So, be sure to catch him at his next gig. He is on the last leg of his tour and will be visiting Reitz, Nieu Bethesda and J'bay.

Gerald Clark blew the audience away with his experimental solo performance.

When last did you see a musician with telephone and harmonica in one hand, a guitar under his arm, stomp box at his feet, and the occasional makeshift glass slider from the audience? A lot of people think a solo act isn't always as exciting as a big band on an even bigger stage. But that's not what happened in Potchefstroom on Saturday night.

An intimate scene was set at the old Snowflake factory with Clark as the headliner. Most of us know Clark, with his distinctive voice, as a matchless blues marvel, but he has more up his sleeves than we expected. Recently Clark started fiddling around with his loop station, stomp box, harmonica, shaker, telephone, voice and acoustic guitar and show after show his set transformed into a one-man masterpiece. Blueslovers, not to worry, his contemporary style stems from his first love – the blues.

That said, Gerald blew the audience away with his experimental solo performance on Saturday evening. The crowd was entertained with his stories that inspired his songs and they were left in awe with his technical skills, his musical abilities, and the soul he puts into every beat. His show was so well received, he was asked to perform with one of the local acts, Wellhungarian Blues Band, the following night at the airbase – with who he might bring a special evening show to Aardklop this year.

There are many exciting things you can expect from this talented man. He is currently on tour in the north – make sure to catch him in and around your hometown. And the best news off all, his 4th album and a new daring music video will be released early November. We can't wait Mr. Clark!

Oppikoppi Mr Vos Vos - The End

GERALD CLARK WAS ONE OF THE FAN FAVOURITES WITH A STRONG, PASSIONATE PERFORMANCE.

After a day's ride with Luna Paige and two friends in the smallest of cars, stacked between guitars, tents and biltong, Gerald Clark said hello to the night at the Top Bar. His performance called the masses from down under and quickly you couldn't move or take your eyes off one of the best performances of the weekend.

Everyone was in awe. Gerald invited Page and Guy Collins to the stage to kick it up a notch, and jesus they did. If you weren't amongst the Mr Vos Vos crowd, you've missed something special – three of the most talented SA musicians on one stage, lead by the Fantastic Mr Clark.

Gerald will be heading up north again on a massive tour, be sure to catch him in your town.
